ParaBOLTParaBOLT

Breathing & CO₂ tolerance

Train your breathing.
Build your CO₂ tolerance.

ParaBOLT uses progressive breath holds after an exhale to help you develop slower, lighter, more efficient breathing. Train with GUIDED or INTERVAL methods, and track your progress over time.

Breathing isn't only about oxygen.

Carbon dioxide plays an important role in healthy breathing. As tolerance to carbon dioxide improves, breathing can become slower, lighter and more efficient.

ParaBOLT trains that tolerance the same way you build any other capacity — gradually. Progressively longer breath holds after an exhale, repeated consistently over time.

Two ways to train

Two complementary approaches to the same goal.

ParaBOLT GUIDED session configuration screen

GUIDED

Combines slow, guided breathing with small,
gradual increases in breath hold duration.

  • Guided breathing
  • Smaller increases
ParaBOLT INTERVAL session configuration screen

INTERVAL

Focuses on progressively longer breath holds,
using larger increases with each hold.

  • Flexible breathing
  • Larger increases

The session

Set it. Start. Listen.

Precise timing
Every phase is counted for you,
to the second.
Clear audio guidance
Inhale, exhale and hold cues
you can hear.
Minimal distraction
A quiet screen
you don't need to watch.
Optional vibration
Cues by sound,
vibration, or both.

ParaBOLT is audio-first. Configure the session, press start, and follow the sounds — the app handles the timing. Audio guidance means you don't need to watch the screen, so you can keep your attention on your breathing.

BOLT Test

Measure where you are.
Follow where you're going.

The BOLT Test measures the number of seconds from a normal exhale until the first definite desire to breathe. It's a simple way to observe how your CO₂ tolerance changes over time.

In general, a higher BOLT score reflects greater tolerance to carbon dioxide and more efficient breathing. ParaBOLT keeps a history so you can follow the trend rather than a single measurement.

Total Hold Practice

Progress is more than a number.

BOLT helps you measure change. Total Hold Practice shows how much breath-hold practice you've accumulated. ParaBOLT is built around gradual progression and consistent practice rather than pushing every session to the limit.

Every breath hold counts.
